New Portfolio

I put together a final set of images from the state game lands, where I’ve been shooting the last year and half or so. It’s reassuring to see them assembled together and they are even somewhat cohesive. Tweet

At Dusk.

Dusk, Corn Stalks, Soft Green, Alcove. Daylight stretches closer to 8pm these days. It’s nearly June and the heat and humidity has already become stifling. When the temperature stays close to 90, I prefer to take the dog later in the evening. The air cools and the light becomes flat and even. I’ve begun to mark the days with produce. 3 pints of strawberries, a pint of peas, spring onions, asparagus, spinach. Soon it will peaches, tomatoes, zucchini. Tweet

Overcast.

On the days that it is up to me to walk the dog, we go west, out of town on 724. Dog panting and whining in the back seat, windows down, air filling the car with the smells of spring, warm weather. Over rolling hills, the houses start to spread out, the population thins. The dog knows where we are, where we are going and he starts to whine when we make the right to cross the river.
